Hen and Rooster

Text: For decades, this proud pair sat on my paternal Grandmothers retro kitchen table--gray and white speckled laminate top. Now they roost on my kitchen bakers rack. I cant look at them without picturing breakfast at her table. She made the best cinammon toast! The Spaulding China Company produced Royal Copley Hens, Roosters, and other pottery from 1942 to 1957 in Sebring, Ohio. Gift shop merchandise at chain store prices'--their merchandising motto.

What a charming way to capture a treasured memento. Roosters were so very popular in kitchen decor during the 50s & 60s.
