SALE Summer's End Classic Release/Grandmother's Teapot

Continuing to document family keepsakes passed down to me as per aA Blog post: https://www.annaaspnesdesigns.com/preserving-memories-for-changing-generations/

French pastries courtesy of my DIL, Lauren, who drove 28 miles on Saturday morning to purchase them from an authentic French chef who has a little restaurant out in the country.

Text: Grandmother McClure never drank coffee, only green tea with a little milk. Loose tea, never teabags. Boiling water, pot warmed, tea cozy in place to brew. This was her teapot. The makers marks on the bottom of the pot are pictured below: Schumann, Germany, Empress, Dresden flowers, Golden Crown, E&R, 1886. I loved her dearly. She died when I was 15 and Ive missed her ever since.

Process: Clipped my photo to several layers of ArtsyTransfer Summers End 4 (psd file) and experimented with different blending modes until I was satisfied; linked layers and placed on Summers End SolidPaper 4. Positioned ArtPlay Palette Summers End Transfer 7 under other layers. Added TextureTape in several places for dimension. Applied Vivid Blending mode to Foliage and peg, then reduced saturation. Completed the cluster with buttons, UrbanThreadz Flowers, and WordART. Used two Edge Overlays and filled both with white(Recolor the layer via Edit> Fill>White. Ensure the Preserve Transparency box is checked.) Applied slight bevel to EdgeOverlay 2 and clipped gold paint to parts of it. Also clipped gold paint to Splatters. Took a photo of the maker's information on the bottom of the tea pot; clipped it to a transfer (sorry, can't remember which one from my stash); applied Color Burn blending mode; made two more copies; linked and placed on page at bottom left. Finished with text.
I love reflecting on how this is a message that will be passed down to your children and grandchildren to treasure. It's beautiful and I love how you used the pink.

I have to tea pots from my aunt that I adored - they are precious - love the blending and colors - beautiful page!

What a beautiful and touching tribute to your beloved grandmother. And such a lovely DIL you have...

Magnifique page trs artistique, un beau fondu dans la texture, de belles couleurs. J'aime le groupe de fleurs et le bouton qui montent vers la thire. Un bel hommage.
