Ode to Typewriters

i stumbled upon a public typing station at Oblation Press. Its harder to type than I remembered, especially compared to my ergonomic keyboard. But it was fun.

With a few pictures of vintage typewriters and a couple of me typing at a public typing station, I wasn't sure how to tell this little story, so went with collage :)

I inherited several typewriters through the years and have put off scrapping them - but you've reinspired me to do that very thing. Gorgeous collage with all the right touches to take us all the way down that memory lane.

Now, public typing station??? I've never heard of such. Is that like a vintage internet cafe? ;-) I'd be totally drawn in tho.
