I have to admit I don't use APP Brushes a lot but I would like to try using them more in the future. I decided to try using some brushes as a mask to attach photos to. My first attempt went horribly. I decided to try another day and let the idea turn over in my mind.

Process: I used several brushes grouped together to create a mask (usually 3 or 4). I placed each brush on a separate layer and then grouped the layers together. Then using Layer>Create Clipping Mask to attach the photos to the grouped masks. I then used the Rectangular Marquee Tool to create a rectangle around the picture as a frame. I used Edit>Stroke set at 25 pixels and inside with an appropriate color chose. Now I created a new layer below the masks and used mostly the stain brushes to add color that flowed sometimes outside the frame. I did this at least three times in each group. On top of the photos, I added a layer and used a stain brush which I changed the blend mode - one to Lighten and one to Hard Mix. On a couple, I added some splatter brushes on a separate layer.
Once I had each flower group done I grouped each of them. I added a paper texture outside one of the frames and added a similar one inside the frame. Then I used the charcoal brushes three times, two of which I made smaller and reduced opacity. Lastly, I added word art as the title. I stopped here as for me this was enough on one page.
Love it or Hate it that's okay because I haven't decided it I love ir or hate it. But I love that I tried something new.
I like your Manifesto! I feel the same way, and also feel good when I try something new...so thumbs up to you! Often I have to do a lot of "sleeping on" new techniques to figure out how they relate to me. Don't know if you were going for a grungy look deliberately here, but those flowers look extra-ripe and grungy to me, which fits so well with the enigmatic title. Looking forward to seeing more of your experiments!

No - I liked it right away! I'm going to use this as an inspiration to play with brushes more. I love the colors! How the brushes match the color of the flower..... spreading them around the page.... I have got to learn more about brushes! Thanks for sharing!

I'd like to try this myself. Very inspiring. Each flower is definitely worth a page of its own. Thanks for your notes on the processing.

Always interesting to read about your artistic journeys.
Love the one on the right because it looks like pressed flowers.
Also love the yellow splatter coming off the daisy.
