First Grade

Photo of my Mom, Grace, (far right) and girl classmates from first grade. I found the little Parent/Teacher booklet with her memorabilia and created a brush showing the program for September, 1932.

Process: Clipped group photo to Framed Mask 2; linked layers and placed on Ochre Artsy Paper 2. Added booklet (from Mothers elementary school) layered with MultiMedia Documents 3_2. Blended my Moms photo from group photo with Ochre Transfer 7 (rotated horizontally) and Transfer 8; placed on layout. Added Ochre Brush 10 for texture and to anchor brush created from interior of bookletstamped on background paper (bottom of page). Ochre Art Stroke 2 highlights Moms photo in group photo. Used Ochre Brush 9 for canvas texture under WordART and booklet. Embellished with MultiMedia Flowers 6_3, Ochre Butterfly Tape, word label and gold photo corner.

So many wonderful details to note on this page! The photo! love the little gold corner and the circle around your mom's face, the booklet and the stamp, love that texture in the story word. And just a beautiful composition!

So much to love on your heritage page Marnie! The processing using the transfers is really beautiful. I adore the flowers and colors of this collection, and the sweet grade school photos of the girls.
