Foxglove or Digitalis is a favourite wildflower of mine. A very pretty flower but can be dangerous.

It is also used to treat congestive heart failure and heart rhythm problems. Digitalis can increase blood flow throughout your body and reduce swelling in your hands and ankles. It is most toxic when the seeds ripen.
Wow Kythe I had NO idea about this plant...you say it can reduce swelling? My ankle is swollen, Dr said it's a vein issue and nothing can be done, so I have to have a big fat ankle..lol She told me to wear a compression sock. I wish I knew more about healing through plants and herbs!
