Process

I started with a solid paper from the palette.

The photograph was imported into photoshop and I created a custom blending mask using brush 11

Similar brushes (brush 3,14,6) were placed either side of the masked image to create visual interest and to highlight the focal point, the photograph, this also balanced the photograph.

Leaf brushes were textured by using bevel and emboss to add texture. I built up layers of the same brush adding a linear blending mode and placing below another brush this increased the depth of the brush.

Text was added to the photograph (brush 14) and recoloured this added a highlight to the left hand side of the photograph.

I added a glow from the palette then textured another brush and placed it on top of the tree, this added more depth and drew the eye to the tree.

Artstrokes (brush 4) helped to create tension by adding to the artsy look.

I used brush 11 to clip to the WordART and recoloured it to complement the colour scheme.

Finally I added a few embellishments.
