A bear wandered across the road in front of us.

Hundreds of aspens were bent over to the ground and uprooted by two feet of heavy wet snow on leafed out trees in late June. It was very surprising to find so much deep snow, recently plowed off the road in July. There were also serious road washouts in several places.
