I am very familiar with a photo collage but the term used for a scrap book page leaves me a little perplexed. But what the heck I'll give it a try. Don't be afraid to let me know if I missed the mark because you learn from your mistakes I believe.

Process
I have been working with a sun on another page I have in the works so when I started to think how I could do this I started looking at some recently acquired kits and I saw the multimedia moons. The song "I got the Sun in the Morning" popped unto my head. So I looked for a paper where I could place a sun and a moon. I choose ArtsyPaper 4 from APP To the Moon.

I picked Multimedia Moon 5 and placed in on the dark or last section of the 3 sections of the paper. Then I chose Multimedia Sun 5 and placed it on the first section.

On the middle section I placed the cloud from APP Noble. Then I duplicated the sun part of the multimedia sun and moved it under the cloud peaking out. I took the star from APP Evanescent and had it peak from under the cloud. Under that I placed the WarmGlow 2.

Now I went back to the section with the sun and using the magic wand choose some of the gray (I had to use the Quick Section tool to refine the selection). I filled this selection with a morning blue. I also added overlay 2 over the top. So I got the pink and blue of a sunrise.

Then I added overlay 1 on the last section and made two copies so that I got a whiter look then the moon.

I took only the crescent moon from Multimedia moon 3 and used Hue/Saturation to turn it yellow. I also used Color burn so some of it disappeared. I placed UrbanStitchezSunshine 3 on the page. I used an Solid Color Adjustment layer and clipped it to the stitches with Layer>Create Clipping Mask. In the middle between the sun and moon, I placed Overlay 3 from APP To the Moon. I used the magic wand and choose the darker gray circles and then filled them with a dark blue. I also added some splatter.

I used the words "I got..." for the title and the two oft repeated lines of the song almost like a journaling but played with size of the first letter of the important words. Also I used UrbanstitchezSunshine 8 which I duplicated and placed a bit of yellowpaint under both. Shrunk them up and used them to replace the "o" in Morning. Then I used the Crescent outline from Multimedia Moon 5 and placed a bit of white paint under it. Shrunk it down to replace the first "o" in Moon.

Have I done enough? Is it a proper collage?
This is fun. I was taught collage as a way to convey feelings, and this one is successful in that. Happy feelings.

Love the thoughtful transition of the sun on the light background to the moon on the black background! Perfect text to accompany your lovely collage, Joan!
