white-cheeked-pintail

When I asked the naturalist what type of ducks those were and he replied "pintails" I looked again and didn't the long pintail I was used to and thought to my self "no they're not". That's because they are white-cheeked pintails not the northern pintail I see at home. Learn something new everyday. And I see I need to add location to the page: it was on the island of Floreana in the Galapagos.

Fabulous work with the Taped Textures...the texture creates a really organic feeling shoreline! Well done!

A bit like when I see a Europen Robin and think that's not a robin. There are so many different birds you just never learn them all. Wonderful page.

I love seeing all these new birds! I too would have asked where is the pin-tail! fantastic addition to your bird book!

Love with just a little white splatter on the left and a little brown splatter on the right you've captured a part of the feathers perfectly.
