Process
After extracting my photo I added it to a artsy paper and began to build the layout.
Firstly I concentrated on the area around the boy. by adding artsy transfers, brushes , overlays , newsprint brushes.
I then made a composite of just those layers omitting the background paper.
I added a typewriter brush and masked it using the newspaper paperie, it was duplicated and moved to the top left of the page.
Using a MM_Patriarch frame I clipped solid papers, typewriter brush and Ellas wordART.
The bottom portion was filled with the words by Lewis Wickes Hine,
Hine was an American sociologist and photographer. He used his camera as a tool for social reform. His photographs were instrumental in changing the child labour laws in the United States. Over 1200 photos are held in the collections of the National Archive
