This is a picture of my Uncle Don's hats. He always wore a hat when he sat outside his he shed smoking his pipe, something he loved to do. He sat in the sunshine with his pup by his side contemplating life and all its mysteries. We chatted almost every Sunday, sometimes about those mysteries. My Sundays seem incomplete now.

Process notes:
I used solidPaper No. 3 to create my background. Placed the photo and masked it into the background. I duplicated the photo and applied a color dodge blending mode. Added a transfer on the left for additional interest. Made a composite layer (shift + Cmd + opt + E) and applied a PhotoShop poster edges filter with the luminosity blend mode @ 22%. WordArt completed the design.
