Thanks to ValeJules for the superbly creative inspiration and to Christy for hosting the lift!

Used a photo (circa early 1920s) of my maternal Grandmother (left) and her younger sister (right) pushing the family car out of a rut on a dirt road. To me, it looks more like theyre posing than pushing! Thanks for looking!

ArtPlay Palette Love Letters (Vintage Gem)

Process: Applied a yellow-violet tone preset to photo in Lightroom. Extracted image of car and women. Experimented with several combinations and arrangements of background papers/transfers until I was satisfied. Clipped stripe paper to a transfer and to part of image (erasing areas I didnt want). Added taped textures. Recolored splatter; duplicated and used over image and on right page edge. Finished with recolored WordART, flower, button, and threadz.
oh this is wonderful! Love the photo, the colors, the big flower providing balance, that striped paper!! I am so envious of these wonderful lifts - this one has eluded me thus far ;-)

Fabulous! Look at that car! and they do look very stylish while they are pushing. That big flower with the "go for it" is perfect.

stunning lift, marnie. wonderful photo of two ladies too beautifully clothed for pulling out anything. i would posing too in this situatuon, it is not always necessary to be liberated *twinkle.

Funny and wonderful! I love your background/transfers and the perfect flower.

They do not look as if they are overly exerting themselves LOL! Wonderful photo and great blending.

A sprightly duo! My vote is for posing over pushing--either way, a fabulous photo and terrific layout. And I'm with Diane on that big stylish flower. Excellent choice!

A fabulous heritage page! Love the classy ladies "pushing" the car. Bet they didn't get any mud on them!
