I saw another page using the brick transfers and thought they would work well with one of the many pictures of the local mills.

Process I started with Solid Paper 4 ( I thought it matched the cloudy sky of the picture I choose). I added transfer 1 to my page and then the picture I had chosen.

I added a mask to the page by clicking on the mask icon. Then I reduced the opacity so I could see the transfer below. Using black on the mask I painted over the parts I didn't want to show so the photo fit in the light parts of the transfer. I changed the blending mode to darken which also helped with the darker parts of the transfer showing through the picture.

Transfer 1 has some brick on the left so I placed transfer 6 (which is bricks) on the right side under the photo but above transfer 1. Containing my picture with bricks.

Transfer 1 also has a tape element but I don't like how that shows only partially through the picture so on the transfer I paint over it with white so it doesn't show and then I added the tape element in the same position reducing saturation with the Hue/Saturation adjustment. Then I changed the blend mode to Linear Burn.

I brought in multimedia branch " " to the page on the right side. It works because there are green trees in the picture on that side.

I placed a word transfer under everything and nestle it in an area on the right of the picture but below the bricks.

For the TItle I placed the single wood word Story on the page. Then I click on the page and clicked on the Create Warped text in the text tool and choose arc and type Hometown. I arched it to fit in with the shap of the word story.

Lastly I took urban stitch house 4 and hung it of the curve of the S. I control clicked on the word Story and then clicked on the house layer and erased that little bit of thread so the house looked like it is hanging off the S. Lastly I added a low shadow the the word.

And there I had a page with one of my favorite mill pictures.
I love the way this is framed, like you are looking through the torn page of a book.

I like your brick background and perfect for the photo of the mill, like stitched home in your title! fantastic!

Such a cool reflection with all the vertical lines! Love how you framed your wonderful photo with the bricks and MM Branch!
