Antelope Horn Flower

I'm on a flower kick, y'all. Photo from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, used the pretty watercolor inspired APP Cultivate Bundle on sale tomorrow.

Supplies:
APP Cultivate Bundle (on sale 5.8.19 for one week)
https://www.oscraps.com/shop/AnnaRelease-2-May-2014.html

Process notes:
I used ArtsyPaper No. 1 as my base. I placed my photo and masked it into the background. Because I didnt like the white block, I placed several transfers in varying blend modes and opacity under the masked photo to cover it up. I used transfer No. 3, which is a white stain with a little gesso, several times around the edges of the flower to add highlights. Added transfer No. 4 as a final spot of all the colors, but reduced so it framed the flower.

Thanks for looking.
I can see this on printed on a nice large canvas for a light airy room. Beautiful!

I try so hard to learn the names of wildflowers, currently using an app called Plant Snap. I haven't seen this flower, it's lovely! And you know how I like photos that fill the page! If I ever make it to Austin, I must visit this center. There's a Lady Bird Johnson redwood grove in northern CA that's just beautiful!

We have these in pink and I never knew what they were called. I love it!

Beautiful flower and blending! Next trip to Texas I'll have to look for these beauties!

Spring does call to us to take flower photos. THis is beautiful and worthy of a page all to itself.

Enjoying your flower kick and photography! I agree with Bev...this is canvas ready!
