For Mother's Day one year, I took my Mama out for high tea at a swanky resort in Tucson. She loved to go "have tea." She even hosted "tea" for her girlfriends and made a lovely scone herself. But this fancy, swanky tea was quite memorable because instead of it being a quiet, civilized, dare I say "cultured" event it was filed with rambunctious little girls who couldn't sit still. Apparently the hotel had a promotion geared toward "girls" taking their Moms to high tea. We had a grand time watching the mothers trying to relax while attempting to corral their fidgety kids. And I remember the resort didn't offer the same promotion the next year. This is my tribute to my Mother's love and this memory.
Oh, I still have a few of her fine china tea cups and saucers that she used for her teas. Used a friend's photos of her high tea experience in London.

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 2 as my base. I placed several of the paint overlay No 1 in the upper half to create a light watercolor wash over the page. Also added a transfer at 35% opacity to give it more of tablecloth look. Place my tea cups and masked them into the background. Applied a colored pencil PhotoShop filter to both. Add the crochet element under the tea cups and place to create a shadow and give it a doily look. Placed wordART from the 5 x 5 Mothers Layered Template Album as the final touch.
Thanks for looking.
