I took this photo of banyan trees at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens when I last visited my cousin in Sarasota, Florida. I was entranced by these trees, they almost seem like they belong on another planet.
More info: These banyan trees were planted nearly a century ago. Their spectacular aerial roots, which grow downward and eventually serve as secondary trunks, allow the trees to spread out laterally and cover vast areas. For centuries, banyans have been used as shaded meeting places where people can converse or relax together.

Process notes:
I used ArtsyPaper No. 4 as my base, I duplicated it and used a screen blend mode to lighten it. Placed my photo and blended into the paper. Added several transfers underneath the blended photo. I made a composite layer (shift + cmd + opt + e) and used the blend mode overlay at 77% opacity. Then I applied PhotoShop filter of dry brush and cutout. I brushed in a light blue in the upper half to give it more of an outdoor feel. WordArt from the bundle was the final accent.
Thanks for looking.
