I'm a huge fan of Anna's brushes, especially her artsy stains and masks. I like to layer them on until something emerges. I wonder if I'm channeling my inner Jackson Pollack? I used one of my photos of red poppies taken at the WildSeeds Farm in Fredericksburg, TX, that grows wildflowers to sell as seeds. It's always an explosion of color.

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 1 as my base. I created a mask by combining several thin masks, clipped my photo to it. Added transfers from APP Posey to each corner and underneath the art. Blended in a few more transfers to add depth and cohesion. Added a variety of edge brushes to frame the focal. Instead of stamping the brush, I always used the jpeg and then recolor it using the color overlay blend mode. Filled in the focal by adding lots of recolored artsy stains in varying amounts of opacity. Lots of stains until I felt the art was balanced. Added splatters and a frame.
Thanks for looking.
