This may seem like an odd title considering the subject matter, however the McMillin family lived a full and rich life, in other words, a Life in Full Bloom. This mausoleum celebrates that fact. Its a very intimate place and no, we didnt sit in the chairs.
Journaling: McMillin Mausoleum-Roche Harbor-San Juan Island -1982 August We hiked through the woods and the air was cool and refreshing with only the sounds of birds. It wasnt a long hike past other old cemeteries, before we came upon the McMillin Mausoleum and we knew we were in a special place of rest. The Roman columns caught our eyes first and dwarfed us as we walked up the steps to the round table and chairs. In each chair are the ashes of a family member. The broken pillar represents the things we leave unfinished at the end of life. The family named the mausoleum the Afterglow Vista.

Notes: Starting with solid paper 1 and bringing in the photos and fotoblendz, I arranged them on the page as well as resizing. Underneath are a couple of transfers on each edge of the page and another transfers was brought in over the photos. Underneath the transfer is a artsy paint brush in pink. I also placed a transfer at the bottom right of the large photo along with the light leak and blended.
Three fotoglows were placed and blended on the smaller photo along with a couple of paper textures and the notebook brush. A taped texture brush runs along the top of the large photo and an art stroke was brought in. After bringing in the journaling, another artsy paint brush in pink was stamped underneath. The title has a stroke around it and opacity of the stroke was turned down.
Splatters and a variety of brushes from the kit were dotted around the page and finally the branch was placed. That finished the layout.
