The glow bursting with paint 'petals'...so clever and effective! Sounds like a fun tradition...lots of good memories!

They do have that expectant look! I remember long ago waiting for it to get dark enough so that my grandfather would start the show. Someone was always assigned hose duty in case something went wrong which, thankfully, it never did.
