I first selected the Artsy Template 187. I moved the frames into the opposite corner and turned off all the other layers. I added Artsy Paper 2 to the background. Then I placed a picture I had of apple blossoms onto the page and enlarged until it covered the whole background and changed the the blend mode to Overlay. Then I duplicated the layer and selected the white flower and then clicked on the mask icon. This brightens the while part and leaves things so you can see faintly the leaves of the fia d changes the but still see some of the background paper. Then I added two flowers to the frames. Next I took two paint layers to use as masks and clipped two flowers. But I only wanted the flowers to show. So on one I added a mask to the paint layer and used a radial gradient to the mask so the center would show but fade out as it went and to the pink flower I select the flowers and used that selection on the mask on the paint layer. I wanted a little more yellow on the apple blossom so I used a paint brush on a separate layer. I played with a few other layers of the template moving them around to where I thought they worked and adding color to some. Then came the Multimedia Branch 3.2 which I placed to bridge between the framed flower and the splatter. This created a nice hole to place my title. The last thing I added was Flower overlay 2.5 and inverted the color and changed the blend mode to Hard Mix. And I infused the page with my wish for an early spring.
At this point I put it to bed not quite happy with the results. The next day I opened it and decided to put in the guidelines on the 4 and 8 inches both horizontal and vertical to see where things lined up. The frames looked okay but the big background flower seemed off and so I moved it more to the right so the yellow center lined up more with the 4 inch mark. This exposed more of the stains, etc on the left and suddenly I just liked the page a whole lot more. Sometimes you just have to let it sit to let you better judgment come out. (Or is it that Anna gets in my head and reminds me of some of her points.)
