I found this amazing photo online. The colors in the new APP/ArtsyTransfers Milieu were a perfect match.

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 2 as my base and used a color overlay to give it a slight blue tint. I extracted the owl using the magic lasso tool to get the marching ants, then right clicked on the pull down menu and selected layer via cut. To make it look more like a watercolor I used several PhotoShop filters: sketch, cutout and watercolor at varying blend modes and opacities. I added a slight outline around the owl using the pencil tool. Painted in white highlights where the light source would be. I then made a custom shadow by using the drop shadow, then created a separate layer and using the warp tool to distort it. I placed 3 of the new Artsy Transfer that were predominantly blue on top of the background paper and stretched them down the page. I greatly reduced the opacity to about 27% just to give it texture. I then duplicated transfer No. 2 from the kit four times and placed them behind the owl, stretching them to make them more prominent and masking out certain areas.
