I wanted a blended page for this photo, but it had hard edges on both the right and the left sides, which can be awkward. I solved the problem by blending what I could into the background with inverted masking, then dropping a curtain along the edgeI used a transfer from the Artplay Palette that happened to have a sharp, straight edge for this. Since the right edge of the photo butts up to the right edge of the page, no work was needed there. Most of the time in this layout was spent developing a background that I liked...I wound up stacking several papers on different blend modes at different opacities to get something I liked, then added texture and color with transfers/overlays and brushes.
