Notes: I used mostly brushes on this layout in varying shades from the palette and also clipping photo and papers. Starting with artsy paper 6 as the foundation, I stamped a mask brush and clipped the photo to it. I modified the mask a little by making it more narrow and using a layer mask and other brush to eliminate parts of the photo around the edges that were distracting. I blended the mask to Multiply.
Placing a transfer underneath the photo and using more brushes to clip the chevron papers to them, also blending the brushes.
Typing out the title and verbiage, placing the numbers underneath and linking each number with its line of advice. I turned these layers off by clicking on the eyeball of each layer to play around with the rest of the layout before I place the type were I wanted it.
Like I said, this page is mostly brushes, using some for clipping masks and using others with colors from the palette and these are mostly under the photo layer and one above.
I brought in the psd butterfly, moving the shadow a bit so it popped of the page more. Then over the butterfly I added a gradient layer to give it more dimension. I gave the shadow a blur and reduced the opacity and underneath I added a glow, blending.
Turning the title and advice lines back on and moving those around until I liked the arrangement. Finally, underneath, next to the photo, I typed out Maxwells name, putting each letter on its own layer so I could move the letters around individually. This is placed underneath the photo. That finished the page.
