Process
Using an Artsy Paper I added my photograph. I created an inverted mask and brushed out the hard edges and added a Linear Burn blending mode, duplicated it an added a Screen blending mode.
Journaling, WordART and embellishments were added.

What a treat! Granny on a road trip surrounded by those lovely flourishes! It makes me so happy when family photos are preserved...sounds like yours is a big task, yet what a splendid legacy you'll leave for future generations!
