Process
A solid paper from APP Fernweh was used as the foundation of the page. A photo of the restaurant menu was clipped to a fotoblendz mask. The photo was duplicated (not clipped to the mask) and the blending mode was change to darken. The photo of the beverages was processed in the iPhone app Percolator. It was duplicated 3 times and each image was clipped to a frame mask of the Urban Threadz FotoBlendz frame masks. Brushes from the kit were recolored to add more texture and depth to the page. Word art and dimensional elements completed the page.
I am logging your menu treatment for use in further pages...I am always snapping pictures of menus and then never know what to do with them...now I have a clue! Thanks as always for the inspiration! I notice that beet salad (with goat cheese) has been showing up all over the place around here. I remember when the concept of beets was just not popular at all...they really got a bum rap...and glad to see that has changed.
LOVE the FB OL done in white on the charcoal paper...most effective. And that black tag works great for dating the page!
P.S. Laura's comment about beets getting a bum rap made me laugh...love them!
