Textured background Sarah Gardner
Process
I created the background by using a solid paper from the palette on Darken blending mode at 100% ,placing the textured background underneath adding a hue saturation and levels adjustment layer to create a suitable background.
The photograph was added across the whole width and at the top of the canvas. Using the inverted mask method I brushed back in the parts I wanted then added a Hard Light blending mode.
I duplicated the image twice but only used an opacity of 33%.
Transfers were added to add texture and areas brushed away.
Finally I clustered elements and added some WordART.
