The Jeep was so dirty, even inside the engine compartment, that they charged us $40. We had to think about it for a while to understand it was a fair price and our trip to Punta Allen was still very much worth it. The town has electricity only part of the day and the light house was manned.

That is interesting that they charged for dirty engine. Glad though it was a fair price - love the photos - shame that they don't always have electricity. love the lighthouse!

I am going in reverse on your latest excursion. Times and have been hectic and I am trying to catch up. Love that look you achieved on the left perhaps to signify the dirty road traveled??
