Text: We noticed you starting to look like you wanted to roll on December 7. Mommy and Daddy were great coaches and gave you lots of encouragement. But we said to each other who does THAT at just 3 weeks? But every time Mommy and Daddy put you on your play mat for tummy time, you seemed more and more determined. You would eventually complete your first full flip on December 9, the day after you arrived in the South to visit with your North Carolina family and friends. Daddy sent videos to your New York and California family--you better believe that we all were cheering right along with you!

I altered the template by duplicating two frames so I had five slots to tell my story instead of three. To keep them in balance, I moved them down the page and jiggled them a bit so they didn't look like a Jenga puzzle ready to tip over. Then I typed in my wordART.
When my basic structure was complete, I realized I wanted something jollier in the background since this is a baby layout, so I removed the mistletoe transfers and substituted in the Shabby Christmas Artsy Transfers and a couple of Multimedia Reindeer. I left in most of the template's paint and stain layers though, because that meant there would be less work for me to do later. Since aA templates are entirely customizable, these substitutions were easy to do.
I finished up with a few odds and ends from the Artplay Palette.
