On the morning of November 8th 2018 my families lives changed forever. Their town of Paradise was on fire, with a 20 minute warning they gathered as much as they could, shoved as much as they could into their cars and took off. Flames had already reached their homes. My 85 year old mother drove her jeep through the flames..my brother in laws tires started to burn..he truly thought he was going to die, he was driving through a tunnel of fire, flames on both sides and going across in front of him...people behind him left their cars and were running on foot! My mother's home burned to the ground, my sister's home burned to the ground..my niece and her son's home burned to the ground...they are here with me in Placerville now and dealing with the nightmare of paperwork. My mother has been having terrible nightmares dealing with this at her age. Please continue to keep the town of Paradise in your thoughts and prayers.
