Toffee Apple

My Dad hamming it up for the camera showing the remnants of his toffee apple circa 1956.

I started with a few of the Artsy transfers and quite literally layered them on top of one another to see what effect I would get; to get the look I was after I wanted the background to be white but then I felt it was a bit too stark so clipped a neutral paper from the Mini AP Harken to a fotoblendz and positioned that off centre to create a bit more balance. The circle I drew with the circle selection tool and filled with a red selected from the transfer using the eye dropper selection tool - this was then changed to Color Burn to allow the txture from the transfers to show through, on top is a radial brush inverted to make it white. The photograph is another one of those teeny ones but I've done the best I can with it - extracted the figure, played about with curves and then duplicated with the layer soft light 35%.
To showcase the second teeny photograph I copied the frames from a template and just left them as they are, using selected masks to delete the shadow underneath so that the frames still have a drop shadow rather than lie flat on the page. Lastly I added some art strokes, word art, a button and heart.
