Realizing I dont live in hurricane country or tornado alley, windstorms are something of a rarity around here, so when it hits, its scary. I know the damage inflicted on my property is minor compared to what happens in other parts of the country during hurricane season or tornado season. Thank God we dont have those seasons, I would be a mess.

The forecast was in the mid 50s and mostly sunny and I was going to work in the yard. I still had things to do, put away the patio furniture, hoses and turn off the outside water. Then it hit from the east. Weather from the east is always trouble. There was no prediction of wind and it came in great gusts. I saw a section of the fence come unhinged, then later the tree hit the house and I jumped out of my skin. My cat Maxwell was uneasy and wanted in the basement. Wind and the tremendous noise it makes, has frightened me since I was little and puts me in a chaotic frame of mind, which is crippling. Now I have the aftermath to deal with, and feel blessed it wasnt worse.

Notes: Starting with solid paper 1 and bringing in the framed masks from the template, I clipped the photos down. Underneath the large part of the title at the top and I blurred it to suggest wind and typed out the rest of the title underneath. Underneath the title I used the artsy paint, blurring then adding the same brush over in another color and blending.
Also underneath the clipping set are the painted leaves, blending and using Blend Ifs. Transfers were added at the right edge and peaking out from the left side of a clipping set, also blended. And I always have to add an art stroke.
I put another painted leaf on one of the photos, then adding the dimensional elements as well as pasting in the journaling. That finished the page.
