100th AnnaColor Challenge Week 3

This challenge started with some deep thought and morphed into a genealogy layout (adjoining page will feature Irish paternal great grandmother's family tree branch).

A few random words came to me regarding my reason for genealogy research... just a conglomeration of 'at the end of' AND 'over' the rainbow and a bit of existential thought... :)

Looking beyond the pot of gold,
Where blue birds sing,
And folklore dwells.

Looking beyond myself and now,
Hoping my future meets my past,
When storm clouds fall behind me.

At the end of that colorful rainbow,
So high above the chimney tops,
May there be more than attic finds to bind us.

LoopDaLoop No. 3

Figure: Act II-8 Irish Girls by costume designer, Will R. Barnes, 1913; watercolor from The New York Public Library Digital Collections.
Well, look at us.........neighbors once again! Such beautiful and insightful words. Love how the loops appear to join all those parts and pieces of life and thoughts. Beautiful ART and gorgeous colors and blending, dear lady!

You've taken the challenge to a whole new level! I look forward to the next part of this theme. I love how you've paired the theme with your ancestry.

Wonderful intro page to your Irish heritage! Love the loops and poem!

Amazing art, has a fairy tale look and feel. A fitting connection the rainbow. And, of course, I love that you used an illustration from the NYPL!

I agree with DK ... so much talent.
Thank you for putting so much thought into your page, Marnie.
Your words and image are beautiful.
