Journaling: Every Monday a friend and I have lunch on the balcony of the restaurant at the golf course overlooking the fairway. In the summer we sought out a table in the shade, but now that the season has changed, we look for a table in the sun. We know our days of sitting outside is rapidly coming to a close and well have to move inside. The golfers are getting their rounds played while the sun is shining and the weather holds up, and before the golf course closes until next spring. Later, cross country skiers will replace the golfers.
The first tee is level with the balcony and we are grateful there is a tall chain link fence to protect us, because unfortunately not all golfers know what they are doing. I know we couldnt duck fast enough before getting smacked from one of their flying missiles. Maybe thats why the plentiful deer on the course stick close to the trees, and thank goodness, theres lots of those.

Notes: Starting with solid paper 4, I drew out a rectangle with the Shape Tool, duplicating it 4 more times. I positioned the rectangles on the page and duplicated the set once again, resizing and offsetting them from the first set. Using a couple of colors from the palette, I recolored the background set and clipped a copy of the photo to each front rectangle set and blending to Color Burn.
I placed an artsy transfer, using all layers except one, then bringing in a second transfer, splitting it up, using it throughout the page. I recolored one part to blue at the top of the page.
Bringing in the word art and word transfer, I pasted the journaling and added the little numbers over the left photo/rectangle and the traced leaf under the journaling. I added the title. The scribbled sun finished the page.
