Journaling: Why would you name a street Conifer Lane, then plant not a single fir tree? Such was the case on Conifer Lane. There were oaks and white birch and a smattering of poplars, but not a single conifer. The families that lived on Conifer Lane, including Ned and Jackie, formed a committee to plant a conifer at the end of the block, where there was a small traffic circle. The tree grew quickly (as conifers do) and, after a decade, was some 30 feet tall. It was a beauty! The neighborhood kids and their parents got together each Thanksgiving Day and decorated the tree for the holidays with lights and ornaments. Some years were themed, others were not. Word spread about the tree and many came to visit over the years. Jackie made cookies and hot chocolate to share with the families who came to enjoy the tree on Christmas Eve.

I dont have a photo of the tree but Jackie kept a few tiny branches, tied together with a piece of twine, in her cedar chest.

Process...
Not much of a process here. I just played around with stacking the different elements until I got something that I liked. I layered the frame over all the elements and added the lights and journaling and it was done.
