For this week's AnnaLift a photo taken by friend of a bridge in Colorado taken at night was the perfect choice.

Process notes:
Because it matched the colors in my photo, I used SolidPaper No. 2 as my background from the ArtPlay Care. Since I was using a vertical photo, I selected a mask from FotoBlendz Overlays No. 11. Placed and clipped my photo to the mask. One of the lifts suggestion was to use part of the focal art to enlarge the design, so I duplicated the photo and flipped it horizontally to create a new structure. I wanted to tamper down the photo, I used the shadows & toning effect found under adjustment. This created a light, almost ghostly look. I reduced the opacity to 62% to diminish the effect. I added some light leaks on the right hand side for additional color, emphasis and grunge. WordArt completed my design.

Thanks for looking.
I know that my life would be different if I crossed that bridge in the night. Your background is such a warming tone that I feel I would be all right; and yet the black void at the end of the road gives me pause to wonder. A great story you have told ...

Don't we just love bridges! what is it, the passage, the crossing, the 'what's on the other side'; very different in the dark, and so effective. Great word art!

love the dark purple! perfect for a night photo! so fun to see all the dark pages for the lift! awesome!

Great take on the lift! I would drive that road in the dark to get somewhere up high for sunrise. I looked it up and read about it and put it on our to-do list. I've never seen anything like it out here.

Hmmmm, not sure I would cross at night. I can't see what's at the end and I'm cautious that way. Love the purple and how there is the light in the foreground and darkness in the background.

Mysterious, spooky, and also weirdly enticing. Terrific roller-coastering of emotions provoked by this image!
