On a new canvas APP Fernweh solid paper 1 was placed, and ALT 273 was placed over the paper, removing the background layer. Brushes from Scottish Heritage were stamped between layers of the template layers. The photo (from internet) of Scottish plaid was clipped to the frame mask. One mask and frame were recolored to match the plaid, and stamped with the emblem. and sun. Using techniques learned in the TitleSmart class (different fonts, drop shadow, sizing), the text was placed. The internet photo of MacLeod was set to multiply. Dried wildflower finished the page.
My cousins genealogy research led our history back to The MacLeod of Lewis, which is represented by the plaid swatch. After reading some of the history on Wikipedia I left it thereit was indeed a very dark period in history. Ill enjoy wearing my plaid wool scarf he brought me from Scotland.
Love how there's a tartan for each clan...I agree, yellow wellies are in order! Skillful use of the Scottish brushes and new APP to create this lovely background!
