Journaling: Once we popped out of the tunnel that runs under the Hvalfjrur fjord (which shortens the trip from Reykjavk to the Western Peninsula by about 28 miles), they were everywhere, often lined up along the fencerows looking to say hello. And say hello we did, stopping at pasture after pasture to scratch inquisitive ears and stroke velvet noses. David was saintly in his patience, pulling the car over every single time that I wanted to stop. I had so many photos of Icelandic horses on my cellphone during the first couple hours of our road trip that I had to delete several apps to free up storage room for...even more snapshots of these magnificent creatures. --Snfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland, 7/18/18

I started with the photo, establishing the position of the UTFB Frame in my layout and clipping in my photo, then duplicating the FotoBlendz layer of the frame and pulling it to the left so that I would be able to show the full length of my photo by clipping in a duplicate photo. I added the branch (duplicated and flipped) and the word labels and then proceeded to build up the background with the Artsy Transfers.
My goal with the Artsy Transfers was to create the suggestion of the landscape and the light that we had seen while traveling in Iceland. I found all the layers I needed in just two of the ATs--#3 and #5and I used each one several times, pulling the layers all over the place and rotating and resizing the layers as needed.
The finishing touches were some brushes to further extend the landscape, and the buttons.
