An old friend came to visit and wanted to see "real" Texas Longhorns. Not sure what that was aboutperhaps he's reliving an old childhood fantasy of being a cowboy? And, what? Do people still think cows freely roam the streets in Texas? Anyway, the only place I know where you can see longhorns is at the LBJ ranch aka the "Texas White House." Since Stonewall is an hour or two outside Austin, I agreed to a day trip. We found some, but they were resting under a tree due to the 103 degree weather. Smart animals. And I didn't want to get too close to them so my photo wasn't that goodlots of shadows from the big oak tree. But I did make one the "star" of my art. (Oh, these animals are direct descendants of the the longhorns LBJ did breed.)

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 4 from ArtPlay Palette Fernweh as my background. I placed a variety of transfers from the kit creating a horizontal landscape. I placed my photo, added a mask from the new UrbanThreadz FotoBlendz Frames and clipped them together. I used the mask because it had a tree-like shape mimicking my photo. I added more transfers on the left and right sides, filling in the gaps. I also masked out more of the blended photo for a smoother transition. I designed a twig frame using bits and pieces using the new MultiMedia branches. Created text with a western flair as my final touch.
Thanks for looking.
