This layout is about the gutting by fire of Scotland's Glasgow School of Art, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, which happened just last month. It's the second fire in four yearsin fact, the school was nearing reconstruction from the previous fire in 2014 when this fire occurred. We were lucky enough to have visited the school in 2013, and it was such a heartbreaker to hear this news.

I pulled various photos from the internet and collaged them together by clipping them to an arrangement of the Fotoblendz Overlays until I had constructed a fiery mass. I then applied the brushes for shape and texture, using most of them as clipping masks for the same photos I had used in the Fotoblendz, reorienting and resizing as needed. I used the photos yet again to clip to the title, and lastly stamped in a couple of bagpipes (clipping one of the fire photos to part of a bagpipe brush). I flipped the Artsy Paper vertically before adding it to my layout and, lastly, added a red leaf and Artsy Stains to the layout.
