Cocdoou's stunning lift art was my inspiration, only I went the quirky route. I found this silly picture of Salvador Dali as Mona Lisa and I knew it was my lift choice.
Phillipe Halsman originally created the photomontage, titled Dal Mona Lisa, in a collaboration with Dal in 1954. The image was published the same year in Dal's Moustache, another collaboration featuring some thirty-six photos of the artist and his famous moustache.

Process notes:
I used Paper No. 3 from ArtPlay Palette Poppy as my background. I placed my photo, applied a cutout filter, and added a red stroke as a frame. Since Dalis claim to fame was his melting watches, I used the warp tool to bend the watch piece from the kit. I added it to his/her head so it looked like a hat. Almost all the kits transfers were added around the frame as accents, although I did add a few on the left side to create some visual tension. One of Dalis famous quotes was the final accent.
