Anyone else like me? Suffering from bouts of insomnia? When you can't go to sleep so you wander back into the living room and turn on some ridiculous show on TV hoping it will will lull you into slumber? When this happens I try to find a non-english speaking show so I won't get interested in it. I found some strange channel that had sumo wrestling and Kunqu opera. Wasn't sure if I dreamt about it or if I actually watched it, so I googled it. (Oh, oddly enough, sumo wrestling is kinda interestingyou find yourself anticipating when their new move is and how long it will take.)
Here's what I found out. Kunqu (Chinese: ), also known as Kunju (), Kun opera or Kunqu Opera, is one of the oldest extant forms of Chinese opera. It evolved from the Kunshan melody, and dominated Chinese theatre from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Also found this photo by Sheijiashaojun.

Process notes:
I used ArtsyPaper No. 1 as my background. Placed my photo and masked out the edges to blend in more. Set the blend mode on color burn @100% opacity. Duplicated the photo using the lighten blend mode at 14%. Added transfers from the kit on the left and right to fill in some blank areas. Added a few on top of the art with opacity at 14% to change the color. Keeping with the theme, I brushed in some Asian script and added another photo of a chrysanthemum on the left. WordArt was the final accent.
Thanks for looking.
