Sometimes I like to use a template to jumpstart my layout, and that is what I did here. I didn't use very many of the paint layers, but I kept all of the artstrokes. I added a frame to the frame stack to hold the last of my photos and then added a paper from the Paperie both to the very bottom of the layer stack and to the very top (on multiply mode at reduced opacity, for a bit more color). I stamped a few tree brushes in between. I duplicated the the from the template to make new labels and added some embellishments for the blasts of yellow and finished up with the story of the new puppy who will soon be joining my daughter's family in June.

Journaling: "Its a fine family tree! Agnes (mom) is shown with the pups on the very first day. There were so many that she needed a cesarean section for safe delivery. Five in all, two girls, with Agness white coat, and three boys, who are already looking a lot like Luka (dad), shown in the photo at four months. Thats Pluto in the last photo, due to come home with you on June 4. --Manhattan, April 2018"
