Journaling reads:
We arrived in North Adams in the rain and the minute we parked at the raven mural, I knew I was going to love this place. A row of old millworkers houses, lovingly restored, the buildings have kept the original vibe. MASS MOCA, our destination, was just across the street...in the original old mill space. How the kids found this for us remains a mystery, but we were so grateful that they gave us this trip to celebrate my birthday, although it also wound up celebrating Davids retirement and the end of my medical adventure. It was like a punctuation mark to all of that, an honoring of significant transitions. I loved the nightlights in the bathroom and luckily the front desk had some to sell--I bought three, one for each of the kids families. We loved the little lobby bar, where we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink and hanging out with Sabine the House Cat. That night was the first thunderstorm of 2018 and the rain pelted on the metal and slate roof in that way that makes you feel all warm and cozy--its always been one of my favorite sounds. The muslin curtains on the windows and our balcony door were a nice touch, in keeping with the vernacular style of the mill. The bed and linens were perfection. I had brought along my knitting and considered busting some rows while soaking in the claw-foot tub, but at the last minute decided not to risk it. But I snapped the photo anyway.

Working on FotoInspired templates gives me the opportunity to use tons of photos and write a lot of journaling, so I have come to love this format for memory-keeping. Sometimes I find myself challenged by what to do with the blank edges, but now that I have been calling upon my Artsy Paints to add color and tie things together, this part of the layout goes quickly, too.
Very beautiful report of this great comfortable place! I like the use of the color plum

Yup, this is my kind of place to perch for a bit. I do believe I would have bought those night lights also. I love what you did with the titling and of course, like I've said so many times before, your journaling is fabulous.

Love that you see the little things and write about them, perfect way to approach photography and these templates!

You moved into this template and made your page just as cozy as your digs! Love it all.
