The benefit to a blustery, overcast zoo day is that people stay home and the place feels like your own private reserve. We pretended we were bird watchers in Micronesia and Polynesia and all the nesias where Im not sure well ever get to travel. By contrast, we expect to observe lots of puffins in July in Iceland, when we will board the shallow-draft ecoboat that will take us to the rocky shores of Akurey Island outside of Reykjavik, where thousands of puffins will be tending their nests. Every time weve visited Iceland its been off-season for puffins, but I think we got it right this time. --World of Birds Exhibit, Bronx Zoo, March 28, 2018

I removed some of the clipping masks from the template and shrunk the ones remaining so there was blank space around the border. I filled the masks then added the background (Artsy Paper #3), changing the hue/saturation to more orange than red with a levels adjustment layer. I then added a second paper (Artsy Paper #9) atop, blending it on multiply mode and altering the hue/saturation of this paper, too. To finish the layout I stamped on a bit of brushwork and added embellishments, recoloring one of the buttons.
