I found this face so compelling, I had to use it in a layout. He looks like the quintessential Old Salt that has many a sea tale to tell. I love how his eyes hold the camera and it was a bit disconcerting working on this piece as he was staring at me as I built the page around him. I wanted to do him justice and I hope I have.

Notes: Starting with the 3 photos, I clipped the old salt to the free mask and the light house photo to the overlay mask and used the gradient tool on the shoreline photo, then slipping artsy paper 1 underneath for the background.
The shoreline photo and the mask which the lighthouse photo is clipped to, are on Color Burn blend mode. The free sample mask is on Normal blend mode with the photo of the man duplicated with the copy of Screen blend mode. I did some adjustments to his eyes to bring them out more on the page. I love how hes looking straight into the camera.
The title was added along with the art strokes, old script, transfer at the right edge, paper texture and map stamp. I put the photo glow over the lighthouse to bring it out a little more and blended to Overlay with reduced opacity. Finished.
