Autumns high school graduation was a very emotional day for me, especially when her class of 434 marched out from behind the stadium to Pomp and Circumstance toward their waiting seats. It truly hit home in that moment and the tears rolled down my cheeks. Im still emotional because soon shell be leaving the nest to go to college and it will never be the same again. The pride I feel for the person she has become and the yearning for the little girl she once was, wars inside of me. I wanted to include a photo of Sophia because theyre very close as well as a photo of some of Autumns friends that shared the weekend celebration. The following weekend Autumn had her Senior piano recital. Jackie and Joel did a tremendous job of celebrating their daughters shining moment with a dessert social and barbecue for friends and family. A lot of love and happiness was in the air.

Process Notes: Using the photo of Autumn holding a photo of her first day of Kindergarten, I composited the rest of the photos around it using reverse layer masks, AnnaBlendz Brushes and stain brushes.
Choosing solid paper 1 from Abrazo as my background, I brought in several artsy transfers, fleshing out the composite with their bits and pieces. I recolored the stains in the transfers with hue/saturation adjustment layers to reflect her school colors of purple and gold. I did blend some of the photos after bringing in the background paper for added interest.
Within the layers I added the brush work from the above list tucking them in here and there, recoloring and blending. I used a slight bevel and emboss and purple outer glow to the title and glow underneath. Finally I placed the dimensional elements, duplicating the star button and placing them around the composite. That completed this page.
