I am a little political crazy...this is to try and put it in perspective for my kids

"It's over. Almost two years of focus on who will be the next president, and in one day the people have their say, and then it is over. What do I hope you remember from all this. Not the endless hours of me watching political commentary, not our lively political discussions with whomever will participate, not the red-white-blue dinner we had on election day, and not even who I voted for. What I hope you remember is that I voted. I appreciate our democracy, I did my part, and I was an informed voter. History was made today, but the lesson for you is that every election can make you a part of history if you vote!"
