Sophia

A little tribute to my talented 16 year old Granddaughter Sophia. I took this photo of her last Easter in front of a light background with extracting her in mind. Ill probably keep trying extractions until I get it right. I specifically chose this photo because the colors of her dress are the same as the APP.

Notes: After extracting Sophia from the background, I placed her on artsy paper 4 and brought in an artsy transfer and placed it behind her, leaving it intact. Then throughout the page I added bits and pieces of other artsy transfers, such as textures, stains, paper and tape. I brushed away a hard edge on a paper with a layer mask and brush.

Wire from the kit and wire from the MM Documents were added along with the decor stamp at the left side to balance the page which was stamped in dark brown and put on Color Burn blend mode. The spackle and splatters were also added there. The post mark was stamped over the artsy transfer in brown and also put on Color Burn blend mode. Underneath these layers the art stroke from the kit was placed.

I added the title and word art under the wire layers and used the Blend Ifs on each of those as well as the list of some of her attributes. The warm glows brought out the artsy transfer and verbiage, both blended to Color Burn.

Attaching the star to the wire I also used the wonderful dimensional png elements from the MM Documents, the rivet, threadz and butterfly. I added drop shadows to the star and Sophia. I think thats about it for this page.
She is lovely and your extraction, the background- it all works perfectly.

I admire your skill at extracting your lovely granddaughter and a your artsy approach to your design. Fabulous!

Beautiful photo of you granddaughter! Beautiful color palette! Your extraction looks amazing!

What a beautiful image of your granddaughter. She is growing up so fast! Love the background that you formulated with the great colors and textures. The title is perfect and the star hanging from the chain fence is great. Awesome artistry.

Love how you've created a fun background with the elements! It's beautiful, as is your granddaughter!

What a great extraction of this beautiful girl, love the great background you've created, an awesome page!!

That's a great extraction--and it almost looks like she's leaning on a bookshelf. I like the little list of descriptors you included, too, a really fun touch.
