Duo Aerial Straps: The show opens with a pair of aerialists flying over the stage.
Hand-to-hand: Two artists perform an show of strength and stamina on a rotating dome.
Flying trapeze: Each trapeze tower has two trapeze bars swinging beside each other.
Chinese poles, bungee, hand balancing, teeterboard and power track;
Japanese taiko drums: The half-ton daiko is 6 ft in diameter, 15 ft in length.
Journaling:
We stayed at Treasure Island to see Cirque du Soleil "Mystere." At the public rehearsal on Monday, we learned a lot about the show, and what life is like for performers. We were surprised to learn that some of the trapeze artists were from the old multi-generational circus families.
